Please Don't Leave Me -- Pink

  • Song: Please Don't Leave Me
  • Artist: Pink
  • Album: Funhouse
  • Rating: 1/2 Star

Pink's new album, Funhouse, has taken a creepy new turn with her new single. From the song's opening, to the final line, Please Don't Leave Me shows that Pink belongs in a nuthouse. Please Don't Leave Me is basically about the singer's boyfriend, whom she has been physically and emotionally abusing, trying to leave her. Pink pleads from him to stay, and even goes so far as to sing that he causes her to act this way. The music video is Misery-esq,* showing Pink practically torturing him as he tries to escape. Any quality that can be found in the song's performance is totally obliterated by psychotic lyrics such as, "I am capable of really anything," "I could cut you into pieces," and "You're my perfect little punching bag."

Everybody that I know says that Pink's creepy, and often disturbing, new songs have caused the one-time fans to avoid her music as much as humanly possible. Pink needs to check-out of music, and into an institution.

*Misery is a 1990 American thriller from Columbia Pictures and Castle Rock Entertainment, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. --> http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Misery_(film)&oldid=305016133
